This was a new-build project that we worked on in 2012. The Frederick Holmes School in Hull was designed and built to facilitate students aged 2 to 19 with severe physical and learning disabilities. We needed to provide full room hoist coverage in a number of rooms, giving students and staff the ability to access different environments and areas with ease and dignity. To give them a chance to truly understand how easy it is to use our system, we let the school try out our hoist units for a while before they made any decisions. Although the client was originally sceptical to the idea of no spreader bar, they decided to choose us because of the flexibility of our systems and our willingness to go the extra mile.
