Innova had the privilege of working with Willow Burn Hospice to design and fit out their new In-Patient Unit (IPU), creating a comfortable, dignified, and practical environment for both patients and staff. During the initial planning stages, the team at Willow Burn were considering traditional overhead ceiling hoists.
However, after being introduced to the Integralift bedhead hoist system, they were impressed by its discreet design and ease of use, prompting them to rethink their original plans.
To help the team visualise the final outcome, Innova created a full mock-up room, allowing them to experience how the space would look and function with the Integralift in place. This hands-on demonstration gave them confidence in their decision, as they could see first hand how the hoist system seamlessly blends into the surroundings, enhancing both the aesthetics and practicality of the space.
As part of the project, Innova delivered and installed six made-to-measure Integralift bedhead hoist systems, designed to provide safe and efficient patient transfers while remaining hidden when not in use. In addition, Innova supplied and fitted a specialist assisted bath, offering enhanced comfort and accessibility for residents. To complete the fit-out, a range of furnishings and loose items were provided, ensuring the IPU was fully equipped with both functionality and style in mind.
The result is a beautifully designed, highly practical care environment that prioritises patient dignity, staff efficiency, and overall comfort.
