The Challenge

The new children’s wing at Martin House was envisioned as a sanctuary of comfort, dignity, and accessibility. A key priority was ensuring safe and efficient mobility for children with complex needs, while also supporting caregivers in delivering high-quality, hands-on care. The hospice identified the need to integrate ceiling hoists throughout the facility to enable safe movement, reduce physical strain on staff, and enhance the overall care environment without compromising on warmth or aesthetics.

Approach

Innova Care Concepts was selected for their specialist expertise in healthcare environments and their commitment to delivering innovative, reliable solutions. Working in close partnership with Martin House from the earliest planning stages, Innova adopted a collaborative approach to fully understand the hospice’s operational needs, spatial constraints, and care priorities. This ensured that every decision was aligned with both clinical functionality and the creation of a welcoming, child-focused environment.
