2018 has been very busy for us; not only have we surpassed all our targets and set new records across the board, but we’re also celebrating our tenth anniversary of opening!
Our company was established with the aim to find, source and supply the most innovative healthcare equipment on offer, and we’re very proud to still be carrying out that mission today. Back in 2008, Innova was created to remind the marketplace of a key thing it was neglecting – the patient’s quality of life.
We dedicated our time and efforts to create new and innovative solutions that would not only fulfil the demanding needs of healthcare environments but would also make the patient feel at ease and unintimidated by what is usually rather clinical-looking equipment.
Innova has grown significantly over the last few years after winning bigger and bigger contracts to supply overhead hoists, care beds, pressure care mattresses, and a range of other specialist equipment all over the UK.
In fact, 2018 has seen us win two NHS contracts to supply overhead hoist systems at both Balfour Hospital and Grange University Hospital. We’ve also become a prevalent supplier to private hospital groups throughout the country – particularly Spire Healthcare Group.
This year has seen us achieve 60% growth as a company thanks to big contract wins, exclusive dealership agreements, and becoming official suppliers to various healthcare groups.
We’ve also been keeping busy after being chosen to exclusively supply Volker hospital beds and Permobil powerchairs to the UK market. And earlier this year, we welcomed Ramsey to the team after expanding to take on case management and litigation projects.
Our managing director Tom said:

This has been a massive year for Innova; we’ve smashed our targets and we’ve really cemented our position as a go-to supplier of innovative, high-quality healthcare equipment in different markets.”
To keep up with the demand for our products and services, we recently recruited another six team members; four new installation staff, a design technician to handle our CAD and BIM work, and an engineer to help keep our clients’ products up to spec and in top working order.
Next year looks to be even busier for our team as we begin work on the NHS Midland Metropolitan Hospital where we’re supplying and installing 280 overhead hoists.
Our senior project manager Cory was originally hired back in early 2016 as a warehouse operative. Since then, Cory has worked his way up through our team is now our senior project manager. He oversees the vast majority of our installations, and he’ll be managing the Midland Met installation.
