24/7 availability to deliver NHS Trusts with hospital beds & equipment

We hope that you are keeping safe and well during these uncertain and unprecedented times. Many areas of day-to-day life have changed as everyone does their part to help limit the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), ‘flatten the curve’ and protect our NHS.

It goes without saying that what frontline care workers are doing is incredible. We are extremely grateful for their ongoing efforts to provide care for anyone that needs it. As a country, we should be proud of what our NHS is able to deliver under extremely high demand. We should also be proud of the individual contributions being all over the UK. From the key workers ensuring our supermarkets stay stocked to the families looking out for vulnerable neighbours, it’s inspiring to see people everywhere coming together!

As a healthcare supplier, Innova are in a unique position to directly support the NHS through this pandemic. When we realised our experience, knowledge manufacturing and procurement, and industry contacts might really be able to help, we committed to doing whatever we could.

Now, we have scaled up our services to better meet the urgent demand for hospital beds and other care equipment in NHS Trusts nationwide. Here are the details:

What changes have we made?

In the past couple of weeks, we’ve made four key changes:

  1. Increased our production and stock levels
  2. Diversified our product offering
  3. Invested in a new 30,000 sq ft warehouse facility
  4. Brought in additional staff resources

This has allowed us to deliver rapid quote and delivery times.

We were able to deliver 300 drip stands to the new NHS Nightingale Hospital at ExCeL London just 48 hours after they placed an order! Our team handled manufacturing and delivery so the hospital’s busy procurement team could focus on other critical tasks.

24/7 Commitment

Explaining why we decided to make these operational changes, Tom Hulbert, our Managing Director, said:

“We’ve worked alongside the NHS for many years, providing hundreds of pieces of equipment to hospitals. I think people across the UK share my gratitude for our incredibly hard-working NHS and care professionals. It’s important to come together as a country and provide support wherever possible.

Having seen first-hand the time and energy frontline NHS staff are dedicating to patient care, Innova are making a commitment to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist in whatever way we can throughout this unprecedented crisis.”

It’s brilliant to see organisations working together to get the right equipment in the right places at the right time!” – Joe Hulbert, Hospital Equipment Specialist and Sales Director

How are we protecting our staff?

We are so pleased to be playing our part in increasing hospitals capacity to treat patients. But, of course, the safety of our team is always a top priority. Here’s how we’re minimising the risks to staff whilst delivering supplies as quickly as we can:

  • All office-based staff are working from home – they’re the ones taking your calls and replying to your emails.
  • Social distancing measures are in place, we’re limiting the number of people in the warehouses at once.
  • PPE and hand sanitiser has been provided to our delivery drivers, installers and engineers.
